Cleaning of surfaces is classifed at three levels according to ISO 14644: coarse cleaning which removes particles visible to the naked eye ( > 50 micron) ; intermediate cleaning and fine cleaning which removes fine particles visible only under a magnifying glass (> 10 micron) or using UV-light.
