On leaving a clean-room with higher-classification, all protective clothing is removed and placed in a container for transfer to the laundry. In most clean-rooms, however, only disposable items are discarded each time and the remaining protective clothing is changed once or several times a week. In the meantime, the clothing is carefully removed without touching the floor or fixtures, folded or rolled and laid or hung in a locker. Sometimes clothing is hung in an air shower.
