The specially designed clothing which is worn in clean-rooms must be particle-free and, in hygienic environments, also sterile. The materials of which clothing is made is low in particle emission and particle-proof but simultaneously breathable. For elektrostatically sensitive processes, clothing must also be anti-static. Both disposable and re-useable clothing is in use. Cleaning of clothing is carried out under strict contamination control.
